Schedules will be posted on the "UMPIRE SCHEDULING" tab on the left side of the website.  Please click on the appropriate link to schedule yourself for games.

FOR NEW UMPIRES:  10/11 year-old in-house games and 12/13 year-old-in-house games are held on Monday's and Wednesday's.  Beginners will start at 10/11's and once you have been evaluated, you may be able to advance to 12/13 year-old in-house games.

Only experienced umpires should register to work weekend tournament games.  If you have questions about this, please reach out to the Umpire Coordinator.

New umpires please attend the meetings noted to the right.  Those who require or request an individual training time can have a session scheduled with the Umpire-In-Chief once they are hired.  For new umpires, MAYBA provides basic equipment including, mask, chest protector, shin guards, shirt, brush, counter, rules and cards.  Umpires should wear dark pants, dark shoes, and a dark colored non-logo hat.

New Umpires - we will hold our initial meeting on Sunday, April 27th at 3:00PM at the MAYBA Warehouse.  We will review rules and answer questions.  We will also have paperwork turn-in (bring your completed W4 and MN W4).  We will issue equipment as needed. If you have MAYBA equipment and it needs repair or replacement, please bring it along.  Returning umpires are invited to attend to help answer questions and review real-life scenarios for new umpires.

Returning Umpires - Please email your availability forms to Lori at reg_manager@mayba.com.

New & Returning Umpires - An on-field training session will be held on Sunday, May 4th at 4:00pm at the Community Fields at Rosa Parks.  Here you will review the basics of on-field umpire duties and walk through how to make calls.  New umpires should attend.  Returning umpires who would like a refresher are encouraged to attend.  Experienced umpires who are available and can assist our Umpire in Chief in training and providing direction to less-experienced umpires are invited.

The 2025 In-House umpire assignment schedule will be located on the "Umpire Scheduling" tab on the left-side menu bar.  Please schedule yourself for games when the schedule is available.  The umpire coordinator may reach out to individual umpires if games are not filled.

For qualified umpires, please click on the tab on the left for UMPIRE SCHEDULING.  You will need to create a log-in to Sign Up Genius if you do not have one.  Then register for games.
